Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana

1 lb ground Italian sausage
1 1/2 t crushed red pepper
1 large diced white onion
2 strips bacon, opt
1 clove garlic, minced
2-3 cubes of chicken bouillon
1 cup heavy cream or 2 c milk
3-5 large potatoes
hot water
1/4 of a bunch of kale torn into small pieces

In a large pot saute sausage, red pepper, bacon, onions, and garlic. Drain grease if necessary. Add sliced potatoes, milk, and bouillon. Add water to finish covering the potatoes and boil until the potatoes are soft. Stir in the kale and serve.
