Use a 8x8 or 9x9 pan for a single recipe and a 9x13 for a double batch. Doubled will be pushing it though so try to use a foil disposable pan that is slightly bigger and deeper.
Place 3 cups peeled and chopped apples in the greased pan.
Mix the following and pour over the apples:
6 eggs
2 c cream
1/2 t salt
1 c light brown sugar
1/2 c flour
Bake at 325* until firm, around 50 minutes or until center is set. If doubled, up to 90 minutes depending on thickness.
When done, brush with butter and sprinkle with the following dry mixture.
3/4 c brown sugar
1/4 - 1/2 t nutmeg
1/4 - 1/2 t cinnamon
