Lemon Squares

1 c flour
1/2 c butter, softened
1/4 c powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 c sugar
1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
2 t grated lemon peel (optional)
2 T lemon juice

Heat oven to 350*
Mix flour, butter, and powdered sugar. Press in ungreased square pan, building up edges 1/2 inch. Bake 20 minutes.
Beat remaining ingredients until light and fluffy. Pour over hot crust. Bake until no indentations remain when touched lightly in the cneter, about 25 minutes. Cool. Dust with more powdered sugar.
