3 T soy sauce
2 medium heads broccoli
2 medium heads broccoli
olive oil
water
Sauce:
2 T water + 1/8 t chicken base
1 T vinegar, red wine or apple cider
1 t olive oil
5 T oyster sauce
2 T light brown sugar
2 t cornstarch
Prep:
Cut the steak into small strips about 1/2" x 2" with kitchen shears. Toss in a medium bowl with soy sauce and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Whisk the sauce ingredients together and set aside. Chop the broccoli into bite size pieces.
Cooking:
In a large pot steam the broccoli in about an inch of water making sure it doesn't run dry. Cook the beef in a skillet with a few teaspoons of oil making sure it is brown all the way through but not overcooked. Once the broccoli and the beef are done, drain the broccoli and add back to the pot with the beef and sauce. Return to heat, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thickened and evenly distributed, about 4-5 minutes.
