4 medium apples (Granny Smith is good)
2 10 oz cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 c butter
1 1.2 c sugar
1 t cinnamon
1 12 fl. oz. can Mountain Dew
Preheat oven to 350*.
Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
Peel and cut each apple into 8 slices. Wrap 2 slices in one triangle making the dumplings. Place all in the baking dish. In a dish or a pan on the stove, melt the butter. Stir in the cinnamon and sugar. Pour over the dumplings. Then pour the Mountain Dew over the dumplings.
Bake for 35-40 mins or until golden brown. Let cool a few minutes before serving for the glaze to set.
