Spicy Cream Sauce Bowties

1 12-16 oz package bow tie pasta
2 T olive oil
1 lb sausage
1/2 t red pepper flakes
1/2 c onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 28 oz can Italian plum tomatoes, drained and coarsely chopped
1 1/2 c heavy cream
1/2 t salt
3 T fresh parsley, minced

Boil pasta in lightly salted water for 8-10 minutes; drain. Heat oil in a large skillet cooking sausage and pepper flakes over medium. Add garlic and onions cooking until soft. Add tomatoes, cream, and salt. Simmer 8-10 minutes until sauce thickens. Stir pasta into sauce and sprinkle with parsley.
